A cat that went missing during a camping trip has been reunited with his owners after miraculously traveling 800 miles back home.

Benny and Susanne Anguiano were camping at Yellowstone National Park in June when their cat, Rayne Beau, got spooked and ran into a dense thicket.

Despite putting out all his favorite treats, the couple from Salinas, California, couldn’t find him and had no choice but to return home. To make matters worse, a Yellowstone employee informed them that a coyote had attacked a dog, leaving little hope for Rayne Beau’s safe return.

Susanne told NBC, “Leaving without him was the hardest day; it felt like I was abandoning him.”

However, she felt a spark of hope when she saw a special symbol in the sky.

She recounted to KSBW, “We were driving when suddenly, these double rainbows appeared out of nowhere, and it all came together for me.”

After waiting 60 days, it seems the magic of the double rainbow worked, as Rayne Beau is finally home.

The couple received a message from PetWatch, a pet microchip registry service, detailing Rayne Beau’s microchip information and location.

He was at a shelter in Roseville, California, over 800 miles away from where he had gone missing in Yellowstone.

Rayne Beau was found alone on the street by a woman in early August, who quickly realized he was someone’s pet and took him to the shelter.

The couple is unsure how Rayne Beau managed to travel so far without getting injured or killed.

However, his journey hasn’t been without challenges; he weighed 14 pounds before he went missing but now only weighs eight pounds.

Susanne noted, “He was really depleted. He probably didn’t have much energy left to go further.”

Rayne Beau now spends his life playing with his twin sister, regaining his strength and taking well-deserved catnaps.

Benny hopes someone out there knows how Rayne Beau managed to find his way home.

The couple also encourages pet owners to ensure their pets’ safety.

Susanne stated, “Definitely microchip your cat or pet and register the microchip online.

“We would never have gotten him back without it.”
