A LOYAL supporter of a Ross-shire animal aid shelter has been thanked for again rising to the occasion with a lifeline donations during a particularly challenging period.
Rosemarkie-based Rhona Dalgarno has raised tens of thousands of pounds for Munlochy Animal Aid over the years through Bella’s Bargains, a Facebook group which finds homes for pre-loved pet products donated to her.
The shelter’s Iona Nicol has paid tribute to her for her latest donation of £1900 to the charity, which in common with many has lost a large portion of its regular income during the coronavirus lockdown.
The name of her page was inspired by her own loveable King Charles cocker spaniel cross.
Mrs Nicol wrote: “I don’t know how she does it but Rhona has done it again! This month she has paid £1900 in to Munlochy Animal Aid bank account. Well done Rhona, Jimmy and all who support Bella’s Bargains. Rhona you are amazing. Thank you!”
Munlochy Animal Aidexists to initially provide shelter and care to abandoned, abused and neglected animals and subsequently, wherever possible, to find suitable, permanent homes for them. It operates solely on donations from the public.
